Port Blair, Feb 20: In a concerted effort to promote health and hygiene, the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation spearheaded a successful cleanliness drive at G.B. Pant Hospital in Port Blair on February 18, 2024 from 8 am to 10.30 am.

With a firm commitment to community welfare, volunteers from the foundation undertook various cleanliness activities in the hospital premises. The initiative aimed to create a clean and hygienic environment conducive to patient care and recovery.

Port Blair, Feb 20: As per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, in view of upcoming General Elections to Lok Sabha - 2024, a UT level awareness programme on Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) is underway to provide citizens with a first-hand experience of the voting process and familiarity with machines.

Port Blair, Feb 20: In order to enhance transparency in elections, the Election Commission of India has introduced a new application to monitor use of money power and poll inducements to influence the electorate, which disturbs the level-playing field in elections. The application, called Election Seizure Management System (ESMS) will also monitor action taken by central and state enforcement agencies against such offences. ESMS is a platform where all the central and state enforcement agencies will be on boarded.

Port Blair, Feb 20: A five days training programme on ‘Establishment Rules including Reservation in Service for SC/ST & OBC & PWD’  and ‘Checks on Delay’ organized by the Administrative Reforms & Training Wing of the A&N Administration in association with the Institute of Secretariat Training & Management (ISTM), Department of Personnel & Training, Govt. of India, New Delhi for the Head Clerks, Higher Grade Clerks and Lower Grade Clerks of Amalgamated Clerical Cadre working in various Department of this Administration got underway in the auditorium of TGCE today.
